Bought an 8-inch fruit cake from Fay Da Bakery in Woodside and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. The cake was taken directly from the display case, but when we cut into it at home, the inside was spoiled and even the strawberries on top had gone bad. My mom, who lives in New Jersey, has always enjoyed cakes from Taipan and Fay Da, so this was especially surprising. The service was also underwhelming. The woman behind the counter did not seem welcoming or friendly, which added to the poor experience. Spending nearly $40 on a cake that had to be thrown away was very frustrating. Based on this experience, I would be cautious about purchasing cakes or pastries that have been sitting on display, as they may be older than they appear. I hope the bakery improves its quality control and freshness standards because customers deserve better.

My husband and I were excited by the idea of having zodiac animal cake centerpieces for our wedding at the zoo instead of traditional floral centerpieces. With a larger guest count than originally expected, this meant we had to coordinate the delivery and set up for 14 cakes to our venue, and it was logistically challenging to coordinate and manage. Despite this, the Fay Da team were so incredibly helpful and responsive every step of the way! Wedding planning is stressful enough as is, and we were so impressed at how smoothly the cake centerpieces arrived. Our guests raved about the cakes and we’re so grateful for how delicious the cakes were and how smooth this process was. Thank you Fay Da!!

If you've experienced rude service here, don't be surprised. The women behind the counter are loud mouthed and their gestures are disrespectful. I ordered today, April 2, 2026 and not realizing the cashier that was taking care of my order hadn't returned yet, the other cashier ringing up another customer (buying one thing) raised her arm and swept it over a couple of times the other side, as though I was a fly in the way. I only moved slightly as I have a cane. This gesture was extremely rude. That's not how you treat customers. Maybe they need an awakening by someone using their arm to knock them upside the head. It was not worth the energy to say anything as they obviously get away with things like this. If there are higher ratings than low, they're probably fake. I came in and bought a few items because I needed a spot to sit for awhile and take pain killers. I saw how dirty the floor was around the seats; it looked like they hadn't swept in a long time. I did visit this location a couple of times (not to sit because there's usually some creepy man sitting in a corner) and I noticed that they're quick to greet someone looking at the overpriced cakes, and as usual for me, pre

Fay Da Bakery makes excellent products. The sweets aren't too sugary, which is ideal for me. The establishment is well-kept, and the rates are reasonable. The two female employees were quite kind and accommodating. Pastries, veggie and meat buns, and cakes are all delicious. Drinks that are both cold and hot, as well as space to dine. Breakfast or lunch, this sandwiches are a must-try. Their bubble tea is something I enjoy drinking.

Fay Da Bakery has very good products. The sweet items aren't overly sweet. The savory items are good also. I enjoy their Tuna Bun. The place is clean and the prices are affordable. The only thing keeping me from giving them 5 stars is that if you're looking for friendly service, you're not going to get it here. I understand we all have bad days but the unfriendliness here is consistent. Have gone back since my first review. The products are still good. I tried a new item the other day, The Pineapple Roll, and it was 😋. However the unfriendliness has remained the same. The ladies act like they're forced to work there. If the products weren't so good, I would never go back again. I should clarify that my review is only based on the Fay Da Bakery on 60th street. The address is in one of the pics I posted.
